This Privacy Policy applies to the Silverlight websites, related mobile applications and services (the “Services”). These services  are made available to you and are operated by Nomad Ventures Limited (“Silverlight”, “we”, or “us”) with its address at A9, 7/F, On Shing Industrial Building, 2-16 Wo Liu Hang Road, Fo Tan, Hong Kong.

The goal of this Privacy Policy is to inform you about the information we gather about you‚ how we use and share that information‚ and how we safeguard that information.

What information do we collect?

Silverlight collects information about you, including information that directly or indirectly identifies you, if you choose to share it with Silverlight. We receive information in different ways, including when you track, complete or upload activities using our Services. Silverlight also collects information about how you use our Services. 

Account & Profile & Usage Information

Silverlight collects basic account information from you, such as your name, email address, username and password that helps us secure your account and provide you access to our Services.

Profile, activity and usage information is collected about you when you choose to upload an activity (including date, time and geo-location information and your speed, pace and elevation), or purchase a physical product and generally use our Services.

We use your contact information in order to respond to your support requests and Feedback.

Location Information

We collect and process location information when you sign up for and use our Services. We do not track your device location while you are not using Silverlight, but in order to provide Silverlight’s core Services, it is necessary for us to track your device location while you use Silverlight and track an activity.

Payment Information

When you make a payment on Silverlight, you may provide payment information such as your payment card or other payment details. We use Payment Card Industry compliant third-party payment services and we do not store your credit card information.

Third-Party Accounts

Silverlight allows you to sign up and log in to the Services using accounts you create with third-party products and services, such as Facebook or Google (collectively, “Third-Party Accounts”). If you access the Services with Third-Party Accounts we will collect information that you have agreed to make available such as your name, email address, profile information and preferences. This information is collected by the Third-Party Account provider and is provided to Silverlight under their privacy policies. You can generally control the information that we receive from these sources using the privacy controls in your Third-Party Account.

We receive and store certain types of technological information when you use our Services such as our mobile application, websites, our emails, and our online advertisements. This information is intended to help us provide our Services without interruptions, to help us evaluate the use of our Services, and to support our Services analytics and marketing campaigns. • Earn Effort tokens based on your activities

Your information, including parts of your profile, username will be shared on Silverlight so that you may be able to participate in our Services, for example to show your place on a leaderboard. Certain information (e.g., your username, and some profile information) is also available to non-members on the web. Your precise location information, such as where you run or hike, may also be shared on Silverlight.

To protect you and our Services

We use the information we collect to protect members, enforce our Terms & Conditions and promote safety. For example, we find and remove content that violates our terms, such as hate speech or spam, as well as suspend or terminate accounts that share such content.

To improve our Services

We also use the information we collect to analyze, develop and improve the Services. To do this, Silverlight may use third-party analytics providers to gain insights into how our Services are used and to help us improve the Services.

To communicate with you

We use the information we collect to provide support in response to your requests and comments.

We may also use the information we collect to market and promote the Services, activities and events on Silverlight, and other commercial products or services. This includes marketing and push communications, where you have not opted out of receiving such messages and notifications.

Third-Party Service Providers

This website currently uses the third parties Stripe and Paypal to process payments. Stripe accepts payments through various credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover, as detailed on the applicable payment screen. Paypal accepts payments through your Paypal account. These transactions are subject to the respective terms & service agreements of these third parties. We recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

We enable you to share your information and content with third party apps, plugins, or websites that integrate with the Services, as well as with third parties who work with Silverlight to offer an integrated feature. When you click on/ or make a purchase through an affiliate link, we may receive a small commission or other form of compensation at no cost to you. How do we protect your information?

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with an AES-256 encryption.  Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all legal requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to provide our Services such as recording an activity, complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collection of it and use it for that specific reason only.

Any administrative or service-related emails (to confirm a purchase, or an update to this Privacy Policy or our Terms & Condition, etc.) generally do not offer an option to unsubscribe as they are necessary to provide the Services you requested.

Updating Account Information

Account Deletion

You may ask us to delete your account or send a request for account deletion from our settings. After you make a deletion request, we permanently and irreversibly delete your personal data from our systems, including backups. Once deleted, your data, including your account, activities and place on leaderboards cannot be reinstated. Following your deletion of your account, it may take up to 90 days to delete your personal information and system logs from our systems. Additionally, we may retain information where deletion requests are made to comply with the law and take other actions permitted by law.

Retention of Information

We retain information as long as it is necessary to provide the Services to you and others, subject to any legal obligations to further retain such information. Information associated with your account will generally be kept until it is no longer necessary to provide the Services or until your account is deleted. In addition, you can delete some items of information (e.g., profile information).

Following your deletion of your account, it may take up to 90 days to fully delete your personal information and system logs from our systems. Additionally, we may retain information to comply with the law, prevent fraud, collect fees, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with investigations, enforce the Terms & Conditions and take other actions permitted by law. The information we retain will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Updates

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we use and/or disclose it.
