Silverlight Crew Socks

I have just finished a long walk across Europe on the Via Francigena. The silver light socks performed just brilliantly. By far the best socks I have ever worn. Great cushioning, no blisters. Just brilliant.

I have been traveling in Europe for 3 weeks. I’ve worn the ankle socks the entire trip! Not one blister or hotspot. Easy to wash and the comfort is fantastic. I ordered these over a year ago for a hiking trip that didn’t happen. They sat in a drawer until this trip. Thanks for a quality product.

Best customer service I’ve ever experienced

I wore these in 31degree temperatures. My feet didn't overheat, no blisters, and no smell when I took them off. Worth every penny.

I have three pairs of the Silverlight socks, I am using them on an overseas hike this year and so far in training they are absolutely awesome !!!

I'm a UK 8.5 and these socks looked and felt a bit small when I first took them out of the pack and then put them on.
I suffer with arthritis around my big toes and thought there was no way these were going to stretch enough not to cause a lot of discomfort as they are supposed to accommodate feet bigger than mine.
I was wrong. The fit for me was fine and very comfortable and I had no issues whatsoever.
My only regret is that I should have purchased the crew sock (great if you use trail runners) and not the ankle (I have low ankle boots) as it it was a bit lower down the ankle than I anticipated (my fault).
Would I recommend them?
Yes.
Are they durable?
Only time will tell.

I bought the ankle-length socks in 2020 and have been wearing them for work, travel, and multi-day hikes.

Until today, there is little wear on the fabric, and the socks still feel as thick as the day I purchased them!

These socks are great. I love that they are a bit wider and fit a foot better than normal socks which are usually ambidextrous and squish your toes in. I use these with the Topo Traverse and they work so well together. socks that don't force your feet and shoes that dont either. perfect. Thanks silverlight

Had purchased before. Loved them and so bought one more pair! Perfect, hardwearing and also sustainable.

These sock are amazing. I only own Silverlight socks. After a 4 day hiking trip my socks didn't even smell. They defiantly stop blister as I noticed the difference when I had worn other socks with shoes and developed hot spots. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is that the elastics on mine have stretched quite a lot. But this has happened after a year of everyday use.

I'm hesitant to give this anything but five stars based on how much everybody loves these. But what I've seen is they run large, too large. I'm a US 12-shoe and the heal of the XL sock is nowhere near my heal. I gave my son (who is a 11.5/12 shoe size) one of the pairs for xmas and I don't see how they'll fit -- but he hasn't tried them on yet.

After a 4-day hike, I might have to return the first pair (the only pair I wore) for an exchange because they've started to "shred" (not sure that's the right word).

Unrelated to star-ratings, I would have appreciated a 3-pack that was a mix of Crew/Ankle.

They are easily the best socks I have ever had in my feet in term of comfort and they have solve my problem of blister as well, I was hesitant at first because of the price and "made in china" but after trying my first pair I got 2 more. Only reason i don't switch all my socks to these is because i can't afford it....for now.

Used them on several Multi trail hikes during summer like the Alta Via 1, Carros de Foc and Peter Habeler Runde.
They still go strong. No holes and a great fit and I never had any blisters.

I have worn one pair or another every day for the last 5 weeks, on hikes as well as everyday footwear. So far they have performed exceptionally well. On hikes of 3 miles or 22. I am very pleased. and have already recommended them to several friends and family.

Outstanding Performance. I’ve been hiking in Australia, Europe and Asia for 45+ years and these might just be the perfect socks. Certainly the best I’ve ever worn.

I’ve hiked about 80 kilometres in these socks so far, including a five-day hike, and they’ve held up really well. I didn’t change them or wash them during the trip and there was no smell at all.

I noticed a small amount of blue thread transfer on my boot insoles, and a little wear and tear on the socks themselves, but no holes and no issues with comfort.

I’ll keep wearing them and will update with longer-term use, but so far, they’re performing very well.

Purchased a pair for myself and my husband, and we're both very impressed with them. So comfortable and yes, true to the sales pitch: no odour! My husband was sceptical because he's prone to sweaty, smelly feet but even on a 4-day hike there was no need to wash and they were still fresh when we finished the trail. Drying after washing takes a bit longer but as you hardly ever have to do that, no issue. Besides the high quality of the product, we're also very pleased with Silverlight's customer service. I reached out to them pre purchase because I was not sure about the fit, concerned the socks would squash my toes (I wear barefoot shoes). The answer came quickly and was detailed enough for me to go ahead and order. I will definitely buy these again. Great fit, fantastic quality, excellent customer service... highly recommended.

My partner purchased them for our hiking, but I use them now for work as I am on my feet a fair bit over a 12 hr shift. Every time I put them on I genuinely feel the comfort, you would think the fit or the feeling would dissipate after a while but it still there.
I have now purchased some for her , so she can find out for herself.

At last! A pair of hiking socks that do the job! These kept my feet super comfortable, blister and rub free on a lengthy hike last week. It makes such a difference having comfortable feet when the route is difficult or long. I am also very impressed with the eco credentials , so am very happy with my purchase.

I was on a 9-day intensive job and I got these in the middle of that, and two more 4 and 6 day jobs after that. I had blisters on my toes, sides of my heels. Every step was painful. I got these around day 6 and felt very minimal pain or none. There was a rainy day, my shoes are not waterproof, and neither are these socks, but I am telling you, while I felt a waterfountain of water gushing between my big toe, my feet were not cold. They kept contact with my skin and still felt super comfortable even though my shoes were completely filled with water. My shoes usually have odor after a few days of sweat. These things stopped all of that. I got 3 pairs of the crew, I should probably get 3 more because I'm annoyed with having to wash them every 2 days to keep up with my work schedule. They are Left and Right shaped which is pretty cool, never knew there was such a thing. I had a feeling before I tried them that since they are large socks that they may be a little bit warm, not the case. My feet are comfortable, they are cool, and they are staying dry. I wished they had low-cut socks before, but the crews are just fine. The silver in the socks are working, they are not snake oil by any means. These are not sprayed with aluminum where it would wash out like other socks I think, I believe these to have actual silver strands in them. I got the Large size Medium Crew having shoe size 11, the shoes I use for the perfect pairing of these socks are the Brooks Ghost 2 and 3.

Got them to deal with blisters from my docs and they work like a charm. Not only that, they are extremely comfortable and do well keeping my feet warm during these Canadian winters too. By far the best socks I ever put on my feet

I thought the quality of the socks I received was pretty exceptional; after having worn them for many day hikes, I can say that they're definitely quite comfortable and have managed to retain effectively zero odour after a week of hikes in warm weather. The only problem (for me) was that they can be a bit hot for people with hot feet so that might be worth looking out for, but the customer service was also excellent when I decided to return the other 2 sets I'd bought since they weren't for me.

Ordered Medium and Large ankle socks in BLUE, got email apologising that BLACK was not in stock?? Once that was sorted socks shipped, took 24 days to arrive in Ireland from China, worried Silverlight was a shoe string operation (sorry), the 30 tracking updates gave me something to do while waiting…but well worth the wait, best socks I’ve ever worn!! Much better fit and construction than competitors, sizing is spot on (can’t say the same for a certain global sock firm). Wore hiking for five days in Canary Islands (30°C+), comfortable and cool, no smell, also used recently in cold and wet conditions, also perfect and dry faster than other merinos. So impressed ordered a 3 pack in crew style, that order arrived much quicker. Bottom line, great socks!!

I have said to colleagues here I am going to wear these socks for a 1000 days continuously without washing much to there disgust at my hygiene and at the price I paid. It does have a silver lining I say. They are comfortable and after five days continuous use I only have 995 days to go! Seriously, they are very comfortable and I am looking forward to testing them out in the Australian outback and if they stack up, which I think they will, then the price I paid is more than reasonable.

Love them. I’ve had them over a year and they are as good as when I got them. Used extensively for hiking and the ankle length for gym.

After 3 years and frequent laundry cycles, no deterioration at all in the quality. have worn the same pair on up to 5 day long backpacking trips. Wear them every day to the gym or to run. Very comfortable, no blisters, no bunching, etc. Odor has never been a problem for me so can't speak on that aspect of the performance. highly recommend
